Superintendent’s Report: During the Superintendent’s Report, we had the privilege of spotlighting two well-deserved high school students, Brittany Lima and Samantha Milsted, for their outstanding achievements. Additionally, we proudly honored our Teachers of the Year, Educational Service Professionals of the Year, and mid-year retirees. See the list below of amazing educators! Lastly, the Superintendent presented the mid-year Student Safety Data System (SSDS) report, which provides key insights into school climate and student well-being. Curriculum & Instruction: The board approved several field trips including a trip to the Popcorn Park Animal Refuge, a college fair, and a Mathletes competition. The board also approved meeting dates for off-site SEPAG meetings and credit adjustments for three courses: Workplace Experience, Career Exploration, and Community Based Instruction.
Equity & Excellence: The board passed the following: Resolution to Designate Campuses as Safe Places for Students and Families Targeted For Immigration Enforcement. This reaffirms our commitment to keeping schools safe for all students and encourages support for those affected by immigration enforcement.
Finance & Facilities: Board approved 2 year extension of lease for the modular classrooms at Irving, submission to NJDOE of Bartle Walkway Repairs plan, contract for the baseball field renovation, and topographic survey for the high school greenhouse. In addition, the Board voted to accept the annual revenue from the Borough for the River Road PILOT project.
