To kick off the winter sports season, the girls’ basketball team just had their tryouts. A lot of fresh faces, including middle school students, showed up to the tryouts, with a total of 24 girls taking their shot at making it on the team.
The tryouts also provided an opportunity for some of the girls to the new junior varsity coach, Colin Copperthwaite, for the first time. The environment was very welcoming, and during the following practice, the team went through basic exercises to warm up. The new players felt very comfortable and welcomed into the team as the girls were encouraging each other.
