Earlier this month, two educators and Highland Park High School were recognized for their hard work and dedication to fostering student success.
School counselor Ms. Dana Peterson is the Governor's Educational Services Professional of the Year. In addition to her work coordinating students' schedules and helping them with college planning, her effort on the field earned her the title of NJ.com's GMC girls' soccer coach of the year. Ms. Peterson brought the team to the Central Group 1 final and led them to victory in 13 games.
Mr. Daniel Mladnick is the Governor's Educational Services Professional of the Year. Not only does Mr. Mladnick teach AP Psychology, social psychology, and intro to economics and personal finance, but he also advises the Global Awareness Group and Student Congress. Through these clubs, he creates a space for students to make a difference in the school and local community.
Congratulations to Ms. Peterson and Mr. Mladnick for their amazing accomplishments! Go Owls!
