Highland Park High School

The 2024 Lunar New Year celebration was hosted by Highland Park High School’s very own Asian Culture Club to mark the year of the dragon. Many families and friends joined together to watch marvelous performances of various styles and cultures. To end the night the club opened a food sale with delicious Asian cuisines and donations from sponsors around town. Not only was there food, but also engaging activities available to all ages hosted by students from the Mandarin classes. We were able to see, and hear different sides of our diverse town; the Mayor also attended the event and expressed words of encouragement to the students. The joy and laughter truly made the event unique and showcased the tremendous hard work of the students and advisors of the club. The club proposed they will bring the event back for 2025 and this is definitely an event to keep an eye out for!
